In 2018, a team of journalists led by Sabin Orcan left the historical newspaper Romania Libera and founded a new company, News International, which obtained the licence for publishing a Romanian version of the Newsweek magazine. Orcan remains the general director of the magazine, yet it is Daniela Jivan who owns the majority stake of News International (90%).
