Money.ro is a news portal that was launched in 2008 as a project run by the media group Realitatea Catavencu founded by the controversial businessman Sorin Ovidiu Vintu. Money.ro was taken over by Sorin Freciu in 2012 after the project went through prolonged financial struggles. Currently it is owned by OSAL LLC International, a company that has three shareholders, among them Sorin Freciu and another member of the Freciu family.
