Zi de Zi online is a Mures county-focused website offering news, general information, events calendar, lifestyle, and classifieds. It was launched in 2004. Zi de Zi Events, the company publishing the portal, is controlled by Aurelian Grama, a veteran journalist active in media mainly in the Transylvania region. Grama was involved in a controversial corruption scandal known as the “Gazeta case.” In 2006, several journalists and media owners in Transylvania were detained and investigated under suspicion of forming an organized crime group, blackmail and money laundering. After 11 years of legal battle, they were all eventually acquitted. Grama also owns, via another company, the business magazine Transilvania Business focused on the region of Transylvania.
