Curierul de Valcea is a daily newspaper printed and distributed in Valcea county. It runs the news portals Curierul.ro and Curieruldevalcea.ro. The newspaper was founded in 1990 by a group of journalists and writers. Currently, its publisher is majority owned by the writer Ioan Barbu and his son, the local journalist Sorin Alexandru Barbu.
