Eveniment TV and Sweet TV entered the digital cable television network in Sibiu in 2021. The media holding, Eveniment, which controls the two stations, was founded in 1991 with the launch of daily newspaper Eveniment Sibian. The publication later became a weekly and is now a news portal covering Sibiu county. The holding also controls Eveniment FM, which began broadcasting five years later.
Eveniment TV broadcasts political, cultural, social and entertainment shows focused on the Sibiu area but it also has coverage in counties such as Sibiu, Alba, Mures, Cluj, Arges, Prahova and Constanta. Sweet TV, an entertainment channel, was launched in 2019.
The media outlets are owned by Scorpion Impex Evenimentul Sibian SRL, a company controlled by Alin Calin.
