Diplomatic TVR Pres runs Atlas TV, a local TV station covering Vrancea county. The broadcaster is owned by the family of a well-known local businessman (Ion Martis) who for a long time has had close links with MPs and senators from the Social Democratic Party (PSD) in Romania, one of them being Marian Oprisan, a PSD member who was President of the Vrancea County Council between 1995-1996 and from 2000 to 2020.
