Google’s confirmed local corporate entity in Bulgaria is Гугъл България ЕООД / “Google Bulgaria” EOOD, registered under UIC/EIK 203444578. The company is active and registered as an Еднолично дружество с ограничена отговорност / EOOD, the Bulgarian form of a single-member limited liability company. It was incorporated on 10 March 2015, not in 2006. Its registered office is Sofia, Sredets district, Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. 10, floor 3, 1000 Sofia. The company’s registered subject of activity is sales and marketing, together with any other lawful activity requiring the relevant permit, licence or registration where applicable.
Google Bulgaria EOOD is a small local sales, marketing and representation entity within the Google/Alphabet group. It is not the Bulgarian operator of Google Search, YouTube, Google Ads, Google Cloud or Google’s core platform infrastructure. For users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited is the service provider for most Google consumer services and the data controller for EEA and Swiss users’ information.

Consumer, data and cloud-contracting structure
Google Bulgaria EOOD is not the primary contracting entity for Bulgarian users of Google’s consumer services. Google’s European service model places most EEA and Swiss consumer-service relationships with Google Ireland Limited, based in Dublin.

Google does not list Bulgaria among its European data-centre campus locations. Its current European data-centre list includes locations such as Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Norway and the United Kingdom, but not Bulgaria.
Google does, however, list Sofia, Bulgaria among its European network edge locations. This indicates network connectivity infrastructure serving the Bulgarian market, but it is not the same as a Google data-centre campus.
Market role
Google’s Bulgarian presence is best understood as a local representation, sales and marketing presence supported by Google’s regional European structures. Current public activity in Bulgaria includes Google Cloud’s collaboration with Information Services, Bulgaria’s national system integrator, on an AI-powered National Cybershield project. Announced on 20 May 2026, the project aims to onboard 54 government entities into a federated security operations model using Google Cloud security tools and Mandiant threat intelligence.
Google has also supported Bulgaria’s AI research ecosystem through its partnership with INSAIT. In May 2024, INSAIT announced an expanded Google partnership including cloud computing resources for training generative models and US$1m in PhD fellowships.
