Evenimentul is a regional newspaper and website focused on the Moldova region. The newspaper is published in printed format as well. The newspaper was founded in 1991 and it is published by Ziarul Evenimentul, a company owned by Silviu Ilegitim. The printed copies are distributed in six counties in the Moldova region (the eastern part of Romania, having the same name as the neighboring Republic of Moldova state): Iasi, Bacau, Botosani, Neamt, Suceava and Vaslui.
