Arges TV is a generalist TV channel covering Arges county. The broadcaster’s owner, Arges TV Media Group, is owned by Fundatia Presa Libera Argeseana (95%). The station is controlled by the Penescu family, known for the retail business developed in the region (PIC hypermarket chain, which in the meantime went bankrupt) as well the football club FC Arges. Its owner, Cornel Penescu, father of Alexandra (who owns 5% in Arges TV Media Group), was sentenced and executed four years in prison for bribing. The foundes of Fundattia Presa Liberă Argeseană are Penescu Gheorghiţa, BBE Media News Alert and BBE Casa de Expeditii si Transport Intern si International.
