Tribuna is a daily newspaper and a local news portal covering Sibiu county. It is a historical newspaper that was founded in 1884 and has since undergone numerous changes. In 2000, the newspaper was bought by Ilie Carabulea, a controversial businessman who used to be one of the richest people in Romania. In 2017, Carabulea was sentenced to five years in prison. Currently, Casa de Presa si Editura Tribuna is co-owned by his wife and his sons.
