The European Business Environment is the operating company of Stiripesurse.ro, a generalist news portal, and Bugetul.ro, a business news portal. The company’s sole shareholder is Iosif Buble who is also the owner of one of the oldest polling companies in Romania, CURS (Centrul de Sociologie Urbană și Regională). Buble’s wife is an MP with PSD, the political party in government. CURS has been contracted over the years by political parties as well as other state-owned companies. Stiripesurse.ro faced allegations of receiving funds for serving specific political interests. Iosif Buble also controls the sports website Sportbull.ro through its fully owned company Blau Karotte.
