Galaxy is the owner of the radio and television channels Galaxy. The company is controlled by the Nicolicea brothers. One of them, Eugen Nicolicea, is a former Social Democratic Party (PSD) MP. Based in Drobeta Turnu Severin, the Galaxy broadcasters cover the Oltenia region in southern Romania. The outlets are known to have received significant subsidies from the Romanian government.
