Transilvania Business is a business news website and also a print magazine that is published 8-10 times per year. It is published by Grama Proiect, a company owned by Aurelian Grama, a veteran journalist active in media mainly in the Transylvania region. Grama was involved in a controversial corruption scandal known as the “Gazeta case.” In 2006, several journalists and media owners in Transylvania were detained and investigated under suspicion of forming an organized crime group, blackmail and money laundering. After 11 years of legal battle, they were all eventually acquitted. Grama also owns the Zi de Zi news portal, via another company.
